Imagine an augmented reality scavenger hunt at Lunar Park. That’s exactly what we did as an App Development Partner for the 2023 Advertising Week APAC conference.

Sponsored by Mo Works, XRii created a web app that integrated seamlessly with Advertising Week’s existing native app. Developed within weeks, attendees could navigate easily to the scavenger hunt to claim rewards from sponsors throughout the park.

Bringing the power of technology to a buzzing industry event

XRii partnered with Advertising Week APAC to develop an exciting scavenger hunt that would reward participants while also educating people on the power of tech in marketing. We had two main goals—to generate engagement at the event and to create meaningful interactions with app sponsors.

Our Solution

A seamless branded experience delivered within weeks

Working to a tight timeline, our team developed a web app that seamlessly integrated into the main Advertising Week app within weeks. The Pokémon Go-inspired scavenger hunt featured collectables throughout Lunar Park that people could collect to go into the draw to win a major prize.

Our sponsors made the prize pool possible with an NRL game day package from Illawarra Dragons, a complimentary 1 hour marketing strategy consultation with Mo Works, and a free augmented reality model.

People could enter the scavenger hunt app from the Advertising Week app or by scanning QR codes around the event. It was also promoted through social channels during the conference.
